HOW ARE BIODEGRADABLE CUPS DIFFERENT FROM REGULAR CUPS

Biodegradable Cold Cups are made from a 100% natural, renewable, and recyclable resource, which is also known as corn-based plastic - PLA. Biodegradable Cold Cups are 100% degradable, compostable, and recyclable. Traditional cold cups are made from petroleum-based plastics that cannot be composted in any conditions.

ARE WE CURRENTLY DOING ENOUGH TO RECYCLE?

Not exactly, though we have achieved high recycling rates in Canada, the recycled objects are often plastic bottles, glass bottles, steel containers...etc. Not many of us actually do recycle plastic cups, straws, bags. The "3Rs" are helping us reduce the impacts to our environment, but with the 4th R "Renewable" , we are able to achieve an even better living environment.

FOOD SAFETY

Eco-Cup has received the letter of acceptance from Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). No rejection is filed against the uses of Eco-Cup . The material NatureWorks PLA resin is approved by FDA and has met the ASTM standards for compostability.

Eco-Cup will not cause any toxicity, toxic gas and environmental pollution when they are incinerated.
